AYP/API Predictions

We'll calculate your schools' APIs and % Proficient Rates for all subgroups within days after you receive your state disc.

Data Dashboards
With you as the driver, you will know the state of your school or district by simply clicking a dashboard component.  Retreive state standardized test results in bar chart graphs disaggregated by grade level, subgroup, English proficiency and year.  Retrieve your disaggregated district benchmark results as well - custom boards also available.

Diagonisis and Perscription
Whatever you want analyzed, be it program effectiveness or number of additional proficient English Learners and pertinent R-FEPs needed to make Safe-Harbor - we have the best data doctors and practitioners to do it.

English Learner Subgroup Self Assessment (ELSSA)
This Title III data tool is a requirement for districts to use as a result of not meeting all three Annual Measureable Achievement Objectives (AMAOs which include both the CELDT, CSTs, and CAHSEE) for two and four consecutive years.  You provide the CELDT, CST, and CAHSEE discs and we'll complete the ELSSA including our analysis.

English Learner School Level Tool
Asking several EL adapted questions per Essential Program Component, this complex State EL Title III tool asks for teacher and staff perspectives of the degree to which each Compenent is implemented for the school's English Learners.  An in person presentation or live webcast is available prior to dissemination of the survey.  We distribute and collect survey results by e-mail and then analyze and present the results if desired.  The results reveal strengths and the most crucial areas for improvement based on staff perceptions.

Cutoff Point Alignment

How were your cutoff points on your benchmark tests determined?  Were they strategically or arbitrarily set?  Do your benchmark tests show that your kids are scoring at the Proficient level yet their Spring CSTs reveal they are Below Basic?  Don't feel bad, most district's that do not use EduThink's strategic cutoff point system are in the dark about how their students are actually performing relative to the CSTs - that is, until September of the next school year.

Even the most highly correlated content and standards based benchmark tests can have cutoff points that do not reflect a kids actual CST performance.  Take a look at the distribution of students within a district that purported to have "highly aligned" benchmark exams.  Notice that most Far Below Basic students per the CST scored in the Below Basic Band.  Most Advanced students scored in the Proficient band.

Cutoff Points
Before Aligning Benchmark Cutoff Points to CSTs
Cutoff Points
After Cutoff Point Alignment
The strategic cutoff points we set for each benchmark exam maximize the percentages of Advanced CST kids scoring Advanced on your benchmark, Proficient kids scoring Proficient, Basic kids scoring Basic, etc.  We will provide before and after graphs like the above to demonstrate the increase in precision our aligned cutoff points provide.  Our cutoff points will be superior to your current cutpoints or you don't pay.

Data Analysis Protocol
Is your district using Data Teams?  Are you building Small Learning Communities?  Are your teachers getting bogged down and confused with process?  Are your teachers simply having "meaningful" data discussions without an outcome?

Your teachers will "close the deal" with our own adapted, less complicated version of Doug Reeve's Data Team's Protocol. Identifying key standards, setting goals, creating strategies, and evaluating whether or not the SMART goal was met is straightforward using our adapted process.  We provide online webcast training, in person inservices, follow-up coaching and support of your data teams.

Data Based Program Evaluation Studies

Do you truly know whether or not a program is effective?  With so many factors such as low starting performance, different grade levels, different measures of performance, varying times of treatment, don't be mislead by a cursory review of pretest/posttest scores or a simple overall change in CST scaled scores.

EduThink is a What Works Clearninghouse Authorized Researcher with trained Ph.D. and Ed.D. researchers and experienced educators.  We can conduct competent, rigorous studies of your programs and report whether or not they are working in understandable terms and graphs.

Surveys

We provide a full range of electronic surveys that can be distributed by e-mail to all of your staff.  We provide reminders and guarantee a high return rate.  In person or live webcast explanations preceeding and following each survey such as the Academic Program Survey are available.
